Research Opportunity at Professor Tatsuya Suda's Netgroup
We are currently designing a simulator/emulator for sensor network
applications. First release is done and now we are improving it and
extending it to some particular hardware platform.
The work requires students to:
1. Get familiar with currently design/implementation.
2. Perform more testing on current release.
3. Add new features proposed by the research group.
4. Investigate the driver for a wireless card (open source)
5. Implement the emulator on a special platform (on Linux).
The required knowledge includes:
1. Knowledge of Linux system.
2. Familiar with C/C++ programming.
3. Basic knowledge on computer networks.

RAships are available for highly qualified graduate students
We are looking for 1 or 2 new graduate students in a general area of object-oriented frameworks for autonomous
adaptive network systems. Please see Bio-Networking Architecture,
AgentOS and ACE
project descriptions in the Current Netgroup Projects for examples of research in this area.
We are also looking for 1 new graduate student in a general area of networking technology.
Please see Real Time Video Multicast over
High Speed Networks, ATM Networks, Wireless and Ad Hoc Networks in the Current Netgroup Projects for
examples of research in this area.
Please send email to suda@ics.uci.edu if you are interested.

Programmer positions are available for highly qualified undergraduate and graduate students
We are looking for a couple of programmers with background in
object-oriented frameworks, agent systems and networks. Pay will
depend on the qualificaitons.
The programmers will be working with our group members on
Bio-Networking Architecture project.
Please see also the project descriptions in the Current Netgroup Projects.
A list of current projects available for undergraduate researchers can be found here.
